On October 29th, members of Raleigh Lodge 735 visited the Veterans Hospital in Durham N.C. for the Fall Festival.
Raleigh Elk members Angie Edwards, Alice Morse and Jennifer Stormer participated with 30 patients and played a game called “ corn hole” donated by the Raleigh Elks to the hospital several years ago. A fun time was had by all the patients.
Each patient also received a bag of goodies that included socks, bananas, deodorant, crackers, fruit snacks and note pads with a pen. A Raleigh Elks Lodge 735 hat was also given to all the participants. A Chicken Bake-Off Fund raiser was held by Raleigh Elks Lodge 735 and a total of $333.00 was raised to help with this event.
