Calabash Elks Donate $4,000 to Support Homeless Veterans Programs

The Calabash Elks Veterans Affairs Committee recently donated $4,000 through the Elks National Foundation’s Beacon Grant program to support two vital programs assisting homeless veterans in our region.

A portion of the funds was directed to the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center (VWHRC) and its Tiny Home Village in Myrtle Beach — a community of 25 small homes that provides safe, stable housing and a fresh start for local veterans in need.

The remaining funds were presented to the Sgt. Eugene Ashley Memorial Center for Homeless Veterans in Wilmington, which offers critical services and housing support to veterans transitioning out of homelessness.

Through these donations, the Calabash Elks continue their longstanding commitment to serving those who have served our nation.
